ABOUT THE EVENT /

The Better Together research day is a collaboration between psychology departments across the Atlanta metro. The goal is to foster collaboration, connection, equity, and the sharing of diverse perspectives within the psychological sciences. 

THREE CORE COMPONENTS /

POSTER SESSION & FLASH TALKS

The purpose of the Flash Talks is to highlight labs which are conducting important research in the field of psychology, while also introducing students to different programs in the city of Atlanta.

The Poster Session provides an opportunity allows students to present their research in poster format. Judges will award a cash prize to the best posters.

LAB FAIR

The Lab Fair will allow students at all levels to present the current projects that they are working on in their respective labs. This session serves to not only disseminate the current findings in the field of psychology, but also to provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow students from all universities.

WORKSHOPS

The Workshop sessions will be a combination of research talks and discussion groups centered around important issues for students at all levels. These unique workshops will be taught by a combination of experts from varying schools, all with the intention of increasing attendee knowledge base surrounding these varying topics. These talks will touch on a wide range of subjects from “Hypothesis Generation” to “Growing up in Science”, allowing attendees the ability to join discussions which are most relevant to their own interests and needs.
